Faith and Community Leaders Rallying Together for a Common Cause

THANK YOUFOR MAKING IT A SUCCESS!

From the night before the event, the building was filled with service and love. UPLIFT Flagler, held at Bridges Church in Bunnell, a congregation that has really embraced serving and bridging gaps in the community. The morning started with volunteers helping with setup, parking, registration and warm welcomes. Vendors filled the fellowship hall with a plethora of resources, services, Narcan and more. Pastor Will Motosicky, with Palm Coast Recovery Church kicked off our morning with a powerful call to action. Tom Lopez, Director of Flagler County Access Center & Erin Crimmins, Outpatient Clinical Director, SMA Healthcare provided education on Baker Act, Marchman Act, and Outpatient Services.

Thanks to our amazing sponsors Bridges church, SMA and Flagler OARS; we enjoyed a filling brunch with a little something for everyone. Following brunch, Flagler Cares, Prevention Coordinator, Savannah Prince started our afternoon with Youth & Resilience. Youth, the future of our tomorrow.

We took a “Look through the Lens” with a panel of peers and professionals in recovery. The panel provided insight into addiction, the panelist described the world in addiction and what that looked like for them. Hearing moving testimonials and heart felt stories. The panelist filled our eyes with tears and hearts with hope. The founder of Livingstone, Ana Corsi, shared her testimony and vision with her recovery home. Sue Reece and Sue Bickings shared services provided by Bridges, United Methodist Fellowship. We wrapped up our day with “Me in Progress” a youth program making great things happen among our youth. Overall, UPLIFT Flagler was a day of heartwarming testimonials, bridge building networking and a new sense of community.

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!
